Aseguradora Tajy Propiedad Cooperativa (Tajy), established in 1997, is a Paraguayan insurance company. The company is mainly owned by Paraguayan cooperatives, and across the country it provides a wide range of insurance services such as agricultural insurance, micro-accident, vehicle and life-insurance.

Oikocredit first invested in Tajy in 2018 as the company’s social mission of supporting low-income people aligns with its own.

Tajy serves the low-income sector of the population with its micro insurance and agricultural insurance for small-scale producers. Its micro-accident insurance covers death, disability and medical costs, and benefits the many Paraguayans who work informally, earn low incomes and lack private medical coverage.
