Since its foundation in 1998, Vital Finance has built up an extensive network of service points across Benin, including three key-agencies in the cities of Cotonou, Porto-Novo and Parakou. This microfinance institution (MFI) focuses people on low incomes.

Vital Finance is rooted in a USAID-funded microfinance project which has built impressive expertise in the field of microfinance. Today, it is one of Benin's largest microfinance institutions, thanks to ongoing growth in terms of activity and profitability.

Vital Finance is predominantly active in the peri-urban areas of the above three cities which have very active populations, who are economically viable but lack access to traditional banks.

Vital Finance has been an Oikocredit partner since 2008.
